    Allen C. Ladd

    Since 1990, Mr. Ladd has been a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association through its Carolinas Chapter and Rome District (overseas) Chapter.  He has authored articles on U.S. immigration law in professional journals and magazines in the United States and Canada.  The most recent of these, an overview and critique of the U.S. work visa system, appeared in South Carolina Lawyer magazine. 

    Mr. Ladd has represented immigration clients throughout the world.  He travels frequently.  His work has taken him to Canada, Europe, Turkey, and Africa. He is authorized by law to represent clients in U.S. immigration and U.S. tax matters, in all 50 states, and anywhere in the world. 

    Mr. Ladd was admitted to the bar in New York in 1979, Texas in 1981, Georgia in 1987, and South Carolina in 1991.  He is an active member of the state bar associations of South Carolina, Georgia, and Texas.  He is also admitted before the United States Courts of Appeal in the Fourth Circuit and the Eleventh Circuit. 

    Mr. Ladd received his Juris Doctor in 1978 from Albany Law School and his Bachelor of Arts (Foreign Affairs and French) in 1975 from the University of Virginia.  He attended public schools in Washington and New York and graduated with a Regents diploma in New York State.  He was an exchange student in France while in high school.  Mr. Ladd is fluent in French and Spanish, and conversant in German.  

    Mr. Ladd is active in community affairs in Greenville, South Carolina. 

    Jill C. Rothstein, Risk Management Director

    Jill Rothstein is the Risk Management Director at the South Carolina Bar, where she advises South Carolina attorneys on various facets of risk management, ethics and professional responsibility. She holds a JD degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law and a BA in English, Political Science and Communications from Meredith College. She is a member of the Society of Human Resources Managers, the John Belton O’Neall Inn of Court, the ABA Center for Professional Responsibility and the National Association of Pro Bono Professionals. Jill lives in Columbia, SC with her husband and two children.
